Change Happens
What was your original plan?
What was your emotional response?
What was you personal contribution to the teams improvement?
What is your leadership style under pressure as identified in you leadership metaphor?
The original plan was to just spin the hoop until it worked. Then we realized we had to flick the smaller metal hoops in order to achieve success. Emotionally this scared me because I don't like changes, but it ended up working out. My personal contribution to the success of our group was the methods of passing the hoop. Under pressure I am good at rallying everyone as the "Sheppard". I got the team working together and focused.
Thinking about GAG moments and growth mindset-
How does this relate to moment in your life when you realized that you were going have a dip in performance before you got far better
This related to my track performance. I long jump and for the past three years I would plant with my right foot. However, my coach thought it'd be better to plant with the opposite foot. It took me a while to adjust and my jumps were worse for a while, but once I got better and more used to the opposite foot, my jumps got better.
Were you willing to take this step or did circumstances dictate that you make that change?
My coach made me make the change, and I was hesitant to do so. However, I am glad that I did.
